What is Dungeons & Dragons?

Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a pencil and paper based role playing game published by Wizards of the Coast.  Originally published in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules Inc the game is currently in its 5th edition.

Have you ever wanted to investigate why the farmer keeps losing all of her crops, or fight a hairy man monster for his magical pendant? Yes?  Then D&D is perfect for you.
Fun for all of the family, we’re open to all ages at Tabletop Scotland. We have a dungeon full of Dungeon Masters (the player who manages the game) ready and waiting for the games to commence at the beginning of September.  The games of D&D that we will be offering cater to those completely new to the game and to those playing every week or more!

All that is required to join in and give it ago, is to buy your ticket, sign up via the Event Listings section of the website (once bookings open on the 30th May) or on the day, turn up, sit down and enjoy yourself.

What is the D&D Adventurers League?

The Adventurers League is a weekly organised play system set out by the publishers of D&D.

The league allows players to play in any game store or convention using an additional set of guidelines to keep the experience as consistent and fair as possible where ever you decide to join in.

Your experience in Perth should be similar to your experience anywhere in Scotland, the wider UK or indeed anywhere in the world that Adventurers League is played.

What is a D&D Adventurers League EPIC event?

D&D Adventurers League EPICs are adventures that only ever occur at conventions supported by the publisher, Wizards of the Coast.

EPIC adventures involve multiple tables working both on their own and with everyone else to, hopefully, achieve an epic goal.

EPIC adventures are both more challenging and rewarding experiences than your standard D&D Adventurers League events.

What will I see at Tabletop Scotland?

Tabletop Scotland will be hosting a selection of Adventurers League events over the weekend which will last approximately 2-3 hours each.

The EPIC is one of the convention’s flagship events and it is being run in the Saturday evening RPG slot.
