Love Roleplaying Games? Host some games for us!

Tabletop Scotland is one of the largest RPG conventions in the UK, hosting a huge variety of roleplaying games over the years, as well as hosting Games On Demand since 2023.

Games such as A Show of Hands, Alien, Blade Runner, Brindlewood Bay, Call of Cthulhu, Coriolis – The Great Dark, Cybertopia, Delta Green, Doctor Who, Dragonbane, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Endure, Ghostbusters D6, Heirs to Heresy, Kids on Bikes, Liminal, Mothership, Old School Essentials, Overgrown, Pathfinder, Rivers of London, Runesword, Sanction: The Agency, Shiver, Starfinder, Star Trek Adventures, Symbaroum, The Laundry Files, The One Ring, Traveller, Twilight 2000, and many more have all been hosted at Tabletop Scotland!

So you want to run a RPG at Tabletop Scotland?

If you have never hosted a RPG at a convention before, there are a few things to keep in mind.

  1. Your players may have never played a RPG before.
  2. Those who have may never have played the game you are hosting.
  3. Games are hosted in 3.5 hour slots. Games cannot run beyond that  duration without approval from the convention.
  4. Bring pre-generated characters, this speeds up getting to the start of the game. Also bring spare dice.
  5. Tabletop Scotland uses the X-Card as a ‘minimum standard’ safety tool of all RPGs held at the convention. You can choose to use other Safety Tools, but in the absence of any others the X-Card must be used.

Games on Demand? What's that then?

Games on Demand are ‘on demand’ RPG sessions that don’t require pre-registration. These events are limited to 5 spaces per table, and will last for approximately two hours. Our Games on Demand GMs offer a variety of different games which can be run in a two hour slot. Games available in each slot will vary based on the Game Master assigned to that slot.

So, what's in it for me?

We reward GMs based on the number of ‘slots’ they host games in.
Our preference is that no GM runs more than two slots, but we know that some of you are happy to run more than that.

  • One Slot – Time commitment of 3.5+ hours between Friday 12pm and Sunday 6pm.
This gives you free access to the convention for the One Day of your event, and One Tabletop Scotland Blue t-shirt.
  • Two Slots – Time commitment of 7+ hours between Friday 12pm and Sunday 6pm.
This gives you free access to the convention for all Three Days, and One Tabletop Scotland Blue t-shirt.
  • Three (or more) Slots – Time commitment of 10.5+ hours between Friday 12pm and Sunday 6pm.
This gives you free access to the convention for all Three Days, and Two Tabletop Scotland Blue t-shirts.
