What is the Bring & Buy?

The Tabletop Scotland Bring & Buy is a fantastic way for you to sell games that you’re not playing anymore, and buy games that are out of print / stock!

It’s essentially a second hand market for games, where you put games in for sale and other attendees of the convention buy them.

It’s also a great way to support our Charity Partner, Alzheimer Scotland.

Cash Only? Yes.

The Bring & Buy is a CASH ONLY service. We do not accept card or digital payments.

Why? When sellers “cash out” we give them their money at that time. This also avoids transaction fees incurred by card processing companies

The Bring & Buy uses the G.A.M.E. System which also powers the Games Library and Game Finder services. Find out more on their respective pages.

How does it work?

General Info

All games must be submitted via the G.A.M.E. System prior to being brought to the Bring & Buy area at the convention. You will need to register with your email address and a password to access this. Link via button below.

Games only become visible for browsing once they have been registered with us at the convention.

At peak periods, we may have to limit the number of attendees browsing the Bring & Buy area.

We may also need to limit browsing time during peak periods to keep the queue moving.

No reservations, or holds, are possible.

Friday only attendees cannot buy or sell games via the Bring & Buy, unless you are happy for all proceeds from sold games to be donated to Tabletop Scotland.

To view what’s available during the convention you can browse the G.A.M.E. System.

Buying

Items available in the Bring & Buy can be viewed online during the convention, but can only be purchased in the Bring & Buy itself.

Tabletop Scotland accepts no liability of accuracy of items sold in the Bring & Buy.

It is the Buyer’s responsibility to verify the contents of the item prior to purchase. Refunds and Exchanges are not possible once you have paid for items.

If you have any concerns regarding a transaction please speak to a Volunteer who will get a member of the Tabletop Scotland team before leaving the Bring and Buy.

Selling

Items or cash not collected before 16:00 on the Sunday will be accepted as donations to Tabletop Scotland to do as we see fit.

All games must be submitted  via the G.A.M.E. System prior to being brought to the Bring & Buy area at the convention. This can be either using the built in search engine or by manually entering the information.

If you have extras included e.g. expansions, use the manual entry option to add that information. There is a 50 character limit.

During Drop Off, we will confirm all of your items for sale, we will label them with removable stickers, and then we will add them to the shelves. Only once that is done will your items be available for sale.

To edit your prices, come to the Bring and Buy, find your game, and get it repriced by one of the Volunteers.

Boxed games must be secured using elastic bands prior to drop off at the Bring & Buy.
Do not wrap games in shrink wrap or similar. Any games brought like this will be rejected, unless it is clearly a factory sealed item.

Loose items (dice, playmats etc) must be in containers or bags, and secured using elastic bands or similar.

Games must be complete. If games are reported as having missing items before sale, we will remove them from sale.

10% (rounded up to the nearest £1) of the selling price of each item is kept by Tabletop Scotland.

For example:

  • If your cash out total is £56.00, you will receive £50.00 and we will retain £6.00.
  • If your cash out total is £8.00, you will receive £7.00 and we will retain £1.00.

Lastly, please price items reasonably.
