Event Description:

Like Carcassonne? Want to take part in a friendly ‘tournament’?

Well you’re in luck as that’s what the team from Ancient Robot Games are hosting on the Sunday of the convention.

16 players, taking part in 4-player games over 4 rounds.

The games will be played using the current version of the rules for Carcassonne.

Schedule:

• 09:30 – 10:00 – Registration
• 10:00 – 10:50 – Round 1
• 10:50 – 11:40 – Round 2
• 11:40 – 12:30 – Lunch
• 12:30 – 13:20 – Round 3
• 13:20 – 14:10 – Round 4
• 14:10 – 14:25 – Prizes

In addition to the above the event itself has a few extra rules:

1. The event will use the base Carcassonne game and will not include The River or The Abbot.
2. Players will be awarded points based on where they place in each round as follows; first gets 4 points, second 3 points, third 2 points, and fourth 1 point.
3. Over the 4 rounds the players will take part in a round-robin format, with no-one playing the same player more than once.

Notes:

1. To ensure we have enough copies of Carcassonne to host the event we ask that players bring a copy of the base game with them. For a 16 player event we need 4 copies of the game.
2. If we have less than 16 players total then some groups may have less than 4 players, in that case the scoring will remain as is, with first still getting 4 points etc.
